A Practice Built Around
Financial Comprehension
Ratana Group was founded on the view that financial documents — fund statements, wills, tenancy agreements — are readable by anyone, given the right setting.

How Ratana Group Came to Be
Ratana Group was established in Bangkok after its founder spent several years noticing the same situation repeated across different households: adults in their 40s and 50s who were educated, capable, and experienced — yet genuinely uncertain about what their provident fund statement actually said, or what documents they needed to have in order before passing anything to their family.
The issue was not intelligence. It was exposure. Financial documents are written for professionals, and most adults encounter them infrequently, without context, and without anyone available to explain what a particular line means in practical terms.
Ratana Group's response was to build small-group programmes that treat participants as capable adults who simply haven't had occasion to read these documents carefully before — because, for most people, that is the accurate description of the situation.
The programmes are not courses in the academic sense. They are facilitated readings. The facilitator brings the relevant documents, explains the structure, translates the terminology into plain English, and then makes space for participants to look at their own documents and ask the questions that matter to them specifically.
Ratana Group is not a financial advisory firm. It does not hold an investment advisory licence, does not recommend specific products or funds, and does not accept referral fees from any financial institution. This boundary is deliberate and maintained carefully.
The practice operates out of Sathon, Bangkok, and serves adults across the city and the wider Thailand region. Programmes run in small groups, typically between six and twelve participants, and are scheduled in response to demand rather than on a fixed calendar.
Mission
What We Are Here to Do
Clarity
We make financial documents legible. Not by simplifying them beyond recognition, but by providing the context that turns jargon into ordinary language.
Objectivity
Because we sell no products, we have no interest in directing anyone toward a particular choice. We present what the options are; participants decide what to do with that information.
Respect
The adults who attend our sessions have decades of professional and personal experience. We do not condescend. We treat each question as reasonable and each situation as worth taking seriously.

Our Standards
How We Approach Our Work
Participant Privacy
Personal financial information shared during sessions remains within the room. We do not retain documents or notes related to individual participants' situations.
Content Accuracy
Programme materials are reviewed against current Thai regulatory frameworks on an ongoing basis. Where regulations change, content is updated before the next session delivery.
Facilitator Transparency
Facilitators are clear about the limits of the session. When a question falls outside the scope of financial education, participants are directed to appropriate professionals.
Capped Group Sizes
Sessions do not exceed twelve participants. This is not a commercial constraint — it is a quality decision that allows the facilitator to give adequate attention to every person in the room.
Data Handling
Contact information submitted through our website is used solely for programme correspondence. It is not shared with third parties or used for marketing unrelated to Ratana Group programmes.
Participant Feedback
Each programme concludes with a brief written feedback form. Responses are reviewed by the facilitator and used to refine future deliveries of the same programme.
Adults in Bangkok approaching their 50s and 60s face a set of financial questions that are distinct from those of earlier decades. The provident fund that has been accumulating for twenty years now represents a meaningful sum whose allocation deserves attention. The estate documents that were drafted during a busy period in one's 40s may no longer reflect a family's current circumstances. The rental property acquired as a secondary income source may now be more demanding of time and attention than originally anticipated.
Ratana Group's programmes address each of these areas through structured facilitated reading. The approach is deliberate: by reading the actual documents together, rather than discussing hypothetical scenarios, participants develop a clear understanding of their own specific position rather than a general familiarity with the subject area.
The practice operates from Sathon, Bangkok, and draws participants from across the city. Enquiries regarding private group delivery, employer-sponsored attendance, and upcoming programme dates are handled through the contact form on the main site.
